For all intents and purposes, Noah Best has a shortlist.

He hasn't officially cut down his impressive offer sheet to a group of finalists, but he has four official visits on the books, and it's unlikely that his college destination will be a program that isn't represented on that OV slate. He's set to head to Missouri on May 30, Oklahoma on June 6, Texas Tech on June 13 and SMU on June 20.

So as he prepares to split the hairs between four programs that have prioritized him relentlessly throughout the process, what's he going to be scrutinizing?

“Probably the environment, like the culture of the school and how close they are," Best told Rivals over the weekend. "How the coaches are [with] each other, to the players. That’s kind of what I’m looking for.”

The Rivals FutureCast has long favored Oklahoma to land Best's services, which isn't all that shocking given that he spent a good deal of his childhood in the Tulsa suburb of Owasso. Bill Bedenbaugh offered Best at camp last summer, and ever since, the Sooners' revered offensive line coach has been in hot pursuit.

“Oklahoma’s always been a great school to me, and each time I go up, it just gets better and better to me," Best remarked. "So I love going up there, getting to talk to Coach Bedenbaugh [and] bring my family up there and let them see the place. I still have sisters that haven’t seen it, and I want to let everybody go see it for my official. So we’re gonna drive up there and we’re all gonna go. It’s gonna be fun; it’s a little vacation.”
