SoonerSquad17 Week 1 Schedule: Multiple Commits Square Off

The Oklahoma football recruiting class of 2017 is off to an incredible start with 19 commits already in hand before they play a game of their senior season.

Here is a comprehensive list of when and where you can catch these future Sooners under the lights before they don the crimson and cream.

Who: Tulsa (Okla.) Union vs. Southlake Carroll

When: Friday, August 26, 7 pm CT

Where: Southlake Carroll High School Dragon stadium

Breakdown: Barnes will be squaring off against fellow 2017 Sooner secondary commitment, Tre Brown. The two, despite playing predominantly on defense, may actually have a few encounters with Brown also working at wide receiver. This game has been extremely tight the last two years, with Carroll edging out Union each time, and no one expects this year to be any different.

Breakdown: Broiles and John Marshall begin their season next Friday, September 2, when they travel to Heritage Hall.

Who: Tulsa Union vs. Southlake (Texas) Carroll

When: Friday, August 26, 7 pm CT

Where: Southlake Carroll High School Dragon Stadium

Breakdown: Union will look to avenge back-to-back tight losses to the Dragons, including when Southlake traveled up to Tulsa and came away with a 34-30 victory a year ago. Brown will attempt to shut down a passing game that no longer includes current Oklahoma wide receiver Zach Farrar, who had a big night in the game last season.

Who: Santa Margarita Catholic vs. Mission Viejo

When: Friday, August 26, 7:30 pm PT

Where: Mission Viejo High School

Breakdown: Calcaterra and the Eagles have a tall task ahead of them when they travel to take on one of California's top programs in Mission Viejo. The Demons have won 24-straight games, including all 16 from a year ago on their way to a state title.

Who: Collinsville vs. Tulsa East Central

When: Friday, August 26, 7 pm CT

Where: Tulsa East Central High School

Breakdown: Draper and the Cardinals are fresh off of a disappointing 31-28 loss to Altus in the 5A state title game. Collinsville will look to rebound from that and kick off the season on a high note, as they are expecting big things in 2016.

Who: Stellar Prep vs. Castro Valley

When: Friday, August 26, 7 pm PT

Where: Castro Valley High School

Breakdown: The Stellar Prep Thunder begin their season on the road in a non-conference showdown. Gumbs and fellow standout linebacker William Mailau will look to wreak havoc and set a positive tone to begin their season.

Who: Providence vs. Vance

When: Friday, August 26, 7 pm ET

Where: Vance High School

Breakdown: Hall and his Vance teammates already have a victory under the belt with a 41-34 week one overtime victory on the road over West Mecklenburg. The Sooner tight end commit hauled in two touchdown passes in the final two minutes of the game to send it into extra time where his Cougar teammates finished off the victory. Now, they return home to the friendly confines of Vance hosting a 0-1 Providence team.

Who: Pattonville vs. Mehlville

When: Friday, August 26, 7 pm CT

Where: Mehlville High School (St. Louis)

Breakdown: After a tough 30-20 week one loss against Vianney, Hayes and Pattonville will try and bounce back on the road against a Mehlville Panther team that is also still looking for its victory on the season.

Breakdown: Humphrey and the Wolves begin their season next Friday, September 2, when they host Guthrie in a non-conference opener.

Who: Katy Taylor vs. Richmond Foster

When: Friday, August 26, 7:30 pm CT

Where: Foster High School

Breakdown: Lamb and his Foster teammates are seen as a top 10 team in their division this season and if they are to live up to those expectations, they should make quick work of an overmatched Taylor team.

Who: New Braunfels Canyon vs. Round Rock Cedar Ridge

When: Friday, August 26, 7:30 pm CT

Where: Canyon High School

Breakdown: In 2015, Canyon opened their rough 2-8 season with a loss to Cedar Ridge, who would go on to have a 10-2 season that included a playoff win. If the Cougars are to have a chance, it could be because this game was recently relocated to their home field, which dons the iconic red turf, while Cedar Ridge completes construction on their stadium.

Who: Fort Bend Elkins vs. Dickinson

When: Friday, August 26, 7 pm CT

Where: Vitanza Stadium - Dickinson High School

Breakdown: These two Houston-area schools square off in a pivotal non-conference game. Dickinson is lead by senior three-star athlete Chris Wilson, who holds offers from SEC, Big 12, and Pac 12 schools.

Who: Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman vs. Cedar Hill

When: Saturday, August 27, 6 pm PT (ESPN2)

Where: Cedar Hill High School

Breakdown: It's possible Cedar Hill would be favored against virtually every high school team they played in Texas, but they aren't playing someone from the Lone Star State in this matchup. Instead, Bishop Gorman and their 39-game winning streak travels from Sin City to Texas to take on Cedar Hill. It should be an epic match and the Longhorns will need Rambo and Notre Dame quarterback commitment Avery Davis to be in sync early and often to compete in one of the most anticipated national games of the season.

Who: Waxahachie vs. Garland Lakeview Centennial

When: Friday, August 26, 7:30 pm CT

Where: Garland's H.B. Johnson Stadium

Breakdown: Reagor will look to continue where he left off a year ago after a monster junior season earned the Waxahachie standout his fourth star. Lakeview Centennial will have firepower of their own with senior quarterback Kamron Fields and senior receiver Shamond Greenwood.

Who: McKinney Boyd vs. Mesquite Horn

When: Thursday, August 25, 7 pm CT

Where: Mesquite Memorial Stadium

Breakdown: Robinson and the offensive line was a major factor in Boyd's huge victory over Horn to begin the 2015 season, when they dropped 41 points to begin the year in triumph. They'll have to continue that trend into this year, as Oklahoma quarterback commitment Chris Robison will almost assuredly put up points of his own.

Who: McKinney Boyd vs. Mesquite Horn

When: Thursday, August 25, 7 pm CT

Where: Mesquite Memorial Stadium

Breakdown: Robison will look to avenge the 41-38 loss he and his Horn teammates suffered to McKinney Boyd to begin last season. The Sooner quarterback commit threw for five touchdowns in that game a year ago, so who knows how many he will score this Thursday if Robison goes for the win.

Who: Osborne vs. Sprayberry

When: Friday, August 26, 7 pm ET

Where: Sprayberry High School Frazier Stadium

Breakdown: Sermon and his Yellow Jacket teammates look to kick their season off right when they host conference foe Osborne, who is in search of confidence after opening their season with a loss a week ago.

Who: Lackawanna Community College (Pa.) vs. Montclair State University (N.J.)

When: Sunday, August 28, 1 pm ET

Where: Sprague Field, Montclair (N.J.)

Breakdown: Sutton and Lackawanna don't officially kick off their season for another few weeks, but they begin gearing up for the regular season with a scrimmage by taking a short trip to New Jersey to face the Red Hawks of Montclair State.

Breakdown: Thomas and the Chargers begin their season next Friday, September 2, by hosting Tulsa Central.
