With the latest update to the Rivals player rankings in the class of 2026, Muscle Shoals (Ala.) DE Kamhariyan Johnson received a more-than-warranted bump into the national top 250. Previously regarded as a three-star, Johnson shot to blue-chip status and checked in as the No. 19 edge defender in the country.

It was perhaps an overdue distinction for Johnson, who had long since accumulated a laundry list of offers from elite college programs.

“Kind of a relief, but I’m still working," Johnson said of earning his fourth star. "They see I’m not a three-star no more. I just felt like I was a little underrated at the time, but it ain’t [just] the fourth star. I’m trying to get the fifth one.”

After a Jan. 25 stop at Oklahoma and a Feb. 1 trip to Alabama, Johnson now turns his focus toward a fivefold slate of spring unofficials. He'll see Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Tennessee and Ole Miss across the months of March and April. But he's already locked in four official visits, and may add more in the weeks ahead.

“As of right now, I got four," he explained. "I got Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Ole Miss. I know I go to Bama June 6. I go to Ole Miss May 30, so that’ll be the first one. I go to Tennessee June 13th through the 15th, and Oklahoma is June 20th through the 22nd. I got some spring visits coming up, and I might end up taking [other] OV’s too. More than likely I’m going to have more than four.”
