Moore Ready to Visit Norman, Again

With Olathe (Kan.) North three-star tight end Josh Moore's trip to Norman scheduled for next Saturday many have been led to believe it's a trip brought on by his recent offer. And though that isn't exactly incorrect he has already visited Norman without an offer.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound prospect, took a trip to Norman long before he was a recruit with offers from Auburn, Florida State, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, and Ohio State.

"I haven't been there so far, but I've visited them before though. That was a while ago, my sophomore year," Moore said.
Since then the Sooners have been a bit on again and off again with their pursuit of the state of Kansas' No. 5 overall prospect. However a recent trip to Kansas for tight ends coach Jay Boulware put the Sooners firmly on the trail with yet another Kansas star.
"[Boulware] came, he came and saw me lift a little bit and later I talked to coach [Josh] Heupel and told me how I was going to be an offer for them," he explained. "It means a lot, they've been recruiting me for a while. I was a little young when they first saw me, I was at a camp freshman year."
Meanwhile Moore has been talking more and more with Oklahoma's second-year position coach about the Sooners but more about his game on the hardwood.
"He is funny, he is always trying to tell me about basketball. Telling me not to try and guard him," he said.
Many are unaware that the massive in-line tight end is a cancer survivor after fighting off the ailment as an eight-year old. And nearly 10-years later his biggest concern, thankfully, is a massive list of offers that continues to grow. An offer list that he and his family are now trying to sort through.
"The offers are coming in, it's distracting," he said. "It's hard to believe from all that happened, I tell my mom everyday that this is happening.
"Now my family, they are just supporting me."
Moore says that along with his upcoming trip to Norman on Saturday he'll also be visiting Florida State along with trips to Auburn and Ohio State.
