5 Questions: Troy James

As one of the final pieces of Oklahoma's 2017 class Baton Rouge defensive lineman Troy James is a player that Oklahoma fans are among the least familiar with. The freshman defender spoke with SoonerScoop.com prior to his arrival in Norman describing just what he is all about away from the football field.

Josh McCuistion: You're sitting in the locker room before the game, what are you doing?

Troy James: To get my mind right before the game, I have my music in my ear, listening to artist from Baton Rouge NBA Young Boy, or I’m listening to my guy Lil Phat, or Lil Boosie to get my mind right.

JM: Obviously you're a talented football player, and athlete, but what's something you'd like to be good at but just aren't?

TJ: Something I would like to be good at, video games. All my friends, they all blow me out on Madden or 2k. They get tired of playing me, I get bored because no one wants to play me anymore.

JM: On the flip side, what are you really good at that most people might not expect?

TJ: I’m a good dancer, really more of a type of dance we do down here. My guy (that is with me now), he is a jokester, he is going to tell you I can’t do anything.

JM: If you could have any car you like, what would it be?

TJ: Dodge Challenger, I’d probably have it white with black rims.

JM: If you can have any one meal, what's the meal you're having?

TJ: Crawfish, my dad has to make them – or one of my friends’ parents has to make them. We hang out together everyday so our parents are close too, one of them has to make crawfish because we love crawfish down here.
