It's early but it's already been a busy June for Oklahoma. The previous commitment of defensive end Austin Roberts, who is hoping to be enrolling in Norman next month, and Friday night's commitment of Logan Roberson started the roll and on Saturday afternoon three-star Quinn Mittermeier kept the roll going.

The interesting part for the 6-foot-6, 305-pound blocker is that he continues the runs started by each player. He, like Roberts, is planning to enroll at Oklahoma next month and be a part of the 2015 class rather than 2016. And like Roberson continues to add talent to Bill Bedenbaugh's offensive line.
"Yes, I have committed (to Oklahoma)," Mittermier confirmed to Carey Murdock earlier today via text.
If that is somewhat understated, it's easy to forgive the El Dorado (Kan.) Butler County C.C. offensive tackle. He isn't one to talk about what he'll be bringing to Norman instead preferring to talk about his coaches, and everyone else, who has contributed to his success story.
"I would rather not talk about me, I want to talk about how amazing Butler Community College is and how amazing the coaches are there. What junior college signs 6 all in-state (Kansas) lineman to a division-one program in a year? Very few," he explained. "The reason I'm able to move on to play at the one of the highest levels of football is because of the coaches I was blessed with. Not many people are able to go Butler. It takes a certain kind of player to play there and during my time there I was honored to be coached be one of the greatest head coaches in Junior College football in Troy Morrel and a soon to be great head coach Tim Schaffner not many people can say they have had two great men like that lead them on and off the field.
"And the offensive line coaches that I was able too work with are the best in junior college football hands down, Cody Oates, Coach Morrel, and Wade Weibert were the reasons I was able to play as well as I did in my first year at Butler."
That first year at Butler saw him able, as a full qualifier out of high school, to pick up scholarships for not just his expected 2016 class but 2015 as well. He took official visits to Oklahoma and Florida this month before deciding on Norman, Okla. today.
No small part of that was Oates, his former offensive line coach, as well as Butler's newest offensive line coach, Weibert.
"Coach Oates was an amazing teacher to work with day in and day out, and his hard work and success in molding players, and his coaching ability will soon be able to get him a coaching job at any school he wants. I also want to thank Coach Wade Weibert for helping me make me a better technician throughout our spring/winter football he is an amazing coach and any Kansas lineman or anybody for that matter that want to become a great player and win games at the same time needs to be coached by him," he said.
"I couldn't thank all my coaches at Butler enough for everything they've done for me. They took a kid from Topeka, Kansas and turned him into an alright football player in one year. I would like that to have time to be appreciated and noticed."
After a fitting tribute to a coaching staff that has always prided itself on winning with Kansas talent the big offensive tackle talked a little bit about his opportunity at Oklahoma and what it means to him.
"I'm a just so blessed to be given the opportunity to go to a university like Oklahoma and have a chance to play for one of the most history rich programs in the country it's amazing," Mittermeier explained.
Mittermeier, ever the team-minded player, talked about his goals for his time in Norman.
"My goals are to become the most complete player I can be and help Oklahoma win as many games and championships as I can while I am there," he said.
