It looks like the Globetrotters didn't get their man.
Taylor Griffin, who was drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters with the number one pick in the Globetrotters draft (who did they beat out in their lottery for the first pick? The Washington Generals?) will end up with the NBA's Phoenix Suns after being selected with their second-round pick (48th overall selection) of the NBA Draft.

A second-round pick isn't usually a guarantee to make a squad, but Griffin will get his chance to impress the Suns this summer.
"I think I can fit in well there," said Griffin. "I'm not sure what they want to do with me. I have a chance to show them what I can do on their summer league team. They've also talked about possibly sending me overseas. We'll have to wait and see what happens."
Taylor was in New York with his brother Blake, who went to the Los Angeles Clippers with the overall number one pick, along with his parents and Jeff Capel.
Taylor's selection made the night even more special. It was also a surprising selection as Taylor Griffin didn't work out for the suns in pre-draft workouts.
""This is your dream," said Taylor Griffin. "As far as Blake and I being taken in the same draft -- you can imagine maybe playing college together, but never in million years did I really imagine both of us being drafted on the same night."
