Many future Sooners were in action on Friday night with big performances from the California to North Carolina. However it was a game a bit closer to Norman, Okla. that produced this week's MVP. In a matchup of two of Texas' premier programs, Southlake Carroll and Euless Trinity one Oklahoma commitment came up with some huge moments. Take a look as several Sooners were in huge in-season match-ups and delivered.
The Skinny: Lancaster had the week off.

The Skinny: In one of the country's biggest games Barnes had a pair of catches for 94-yards, including a 65-yard touchdown run after the catch as Southlake Carroll downed fellow Texas powerhouse Euless Trinity 42-28. He added in 10 tackles at his homebase of defense.

The Skinny: Brown and his Union teammates rolled over Owasso 59-3.

The Skinny: Draper and his Collinsville teammates helped build an early lead for the Cardinals but had to hang on as Tahlequah came storming back. However Draper and co. ended up with a 23-20 win.

The Skinny: Stellar Prep had a rough return to the field, after a week off, with Gumbs and his teammates stumbling against El Cajon Christian 40-14. Personally Gumbs had a pair of forced fumbles and scored a defensive touchdown.

The Skinny: Hall and his Vance teammates were shocked by Kannapolis A.C. Brown 24-21, falling to a late field goal. On the night Hall had a one-yard touchdown run for Charlotte's previous top ranked team.

The Skinny: Hayes and Pattonville went head to head with one of Missouri's best teams, Hazelwood Central, and it showed in a 54-18 defeat.

The Skinny: Humphrey and his Shawnee offense weren't the problem as the Wolves fell to rival McAlester, 54-53 in a two-overtime thriller. On the night Shawnee put up almost 500 yards of offense.

The Skinny: Elkins got their second consecutive win with a 30-17 win over Galena Park. On the night Galena Park struggled on the ground putting up just 96-yards rushing. Murray, who was moving between outside linebacker and safety, had 17 tackles, three sacks, and one pass break-up.

The Skinny: In a huge Dallas area matchup Cedar Hill trailed by as much as 20, and by 16 with just eight minutes left but found a way in a 54-50 win over previously undefeated Duncanville squad. Rambo had seven receptions for 82-yards and three second half touchdowns (16, 9, 24).

The Skinny: Waxahachie had the week off.

The Skinny: Rising wasn't available for the third game in a row but it may have been, in some part, due to his team having their opponent, Gardena, well in hand with a 52-7 win.

The Skinny: Boyd's tough start to the season continues this time falling to Wylie 52-20 as neither side of the ball had a lot to write home about.

The Skinny: Robison really got back on track against Tyler Lee going 14-18 for 258-yards and three touchdowns (36, 28, 17) in Horn's 63-35 win.

The Skinny: Sutton had his heaviest load of the season with 18-carries for 97-yards and a pair of eight-yard touchdown runs in Lackawanna's 37-14 win over Erie C.C.

The Skinny: Memorial took their second straight defeat after a pair of season-opening wins, falling to Claremore 27-13. Thomas, for his part, had nine tackles, three tackles for loss, a pair of sacks, and a forced fumble.

The Skinny: Southmoore's offense continues to look like an unstoppable force crushing Edmond North 58-28. On the night the Sabercats offense put up nearly 500-yards of offense and scored on nine of it's 12 possessions.
