Oklahoma's commitments in the class of 2017 and 2018 have been highlighted, at least statistically, largely by offensive efforts so far this season. However, an offensive lineman, a pair of linebackers, as well as some more of the usual offensive suspects put up big nights - but who took home the MVP?

The Skinny: Lancaster got a win in one of the biggest games in Texas over the weekend downing Waxahachie 42-35. Unfortunately Austin still wasn't able to to partake after having surgery to repair his ACL on Tuesday.

Next Week: Lancaster (8-1) is traveling to Midlothian.

The Skinny: Barnes, unfortunately, saw his season come to an end last week after suffering a broken bone in his lower leg. In spite of his absence teammates come up with a 45-7 win over L.D. Bell.

Next Week: Carroll (8-1) is hosting Hebron.

The Skinny: In what is becoming a monotonous explanation, Broiles and John Marshall crushed another opponent. This time Lexington was the helpless victim falling 47-7 with the Bears scoring the final 40 points. Broiles had a beautiful 39-yard catch on the night.

Next Week: John Marshall (8-1) is hosting Purcell.

The Skinny: With an apparent minor injury Brooks was held out of a game that was likely to decide the district crown. His teammates rose to the occasion in his absence to down Arlington Bowie 34-14. Brooks has said his injury is nothing serious and is 'fine'.

Next Week: Mansfield (7-2) is traveling to North Crowley.

The Skinny: Brown and his Union defense stifled Putnam City North in what was likely the state's most lopsided win of the night, 72-0.

Next Week: Union (7-2) is traveling to Mustang.

The Skinny: Calcaterra helped get his Catholic squad back on the winning track downing Orange Lutheran 23-7. He did his part with five receptions for 54-yards.

Next Week: Catholic (5-4) is hosting Anaheim Servite.

The Skinny: Daley has been sitting out, due to precautions from an MCL sprain, as of late and sat out again last night as Suncoast came up just a point short against Palm Beach Lakes, 21-20.

Next Week: Suncoast (4-4) is hosting Palm Beach Lakes.

The Skinny: Draper and his Collinsville teammates are still chasing a district title after a 28-14 win over Claremore. On the night Draper had a 10-yard fumble recovery returned for a touchdown.

Next Week: Collinsville (7-2) is traveling to Skiatook.

The Skinny: Gumbs and his Stellar teammates put together another win, downing St. Francis 32-0. Gumbs splashed with a lot of big plays - two sacks, two tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles.

Next Week: Stellar Prep (5-3) is traveling to San Jose Harker on Sat., Nov. 5.

The Skinny: Hall and his teammates continued their big year by rolling Hopewell 75-8. It was senior night and, as such, there were a lot of players who got time so in spite of the big scoring total Hall had a solid, but modest, three receptions for 55-yards and a score.

Next Week: Vance (9-1) is hosting Hough.

The Skinny: Hayes, who was unable to play due to an MCL sprain, saw his team's come to an end in a 42-9 loss to Chaminade.

Next Week: Pattonville (4-7) finished their season in the second round of the Missouri Class 5 playoffs.

The Skinny: Humphrey and Shawnee got their third straight win, that also sealed their entry into the playoffs with a 27-7 win over Durant. Humphrey says he had 24 pancake blocks against Durant.

Next Week: Shawnee (5-4) is traveling to Noble.

The Skinny: Lamb and his Foster teammates kept their march to an undefeated season alive with a 35-14 win over a quality Angleton squad. Lamb had four receptions for 62-yards and a 23-yard touchdown.

Next Week: Foster (9-0) is hosting Lamar Consolidated.

The Skinny: Mundschau and Canyon got their second win of the season in a 31-14 win over East Central. He went 4-4 on extra points and had a 25-yard field goal. He also had one 34-yard punt that dropped inside the 20 and six kickoffs with two touchbacks.

Next Week: Canyon (2-7) is traveling to Converse Judson.

The Skinny: Murray and his Elkins teammates keep finding ways to sweat out wins, forcing themselves to score three fourth quarter touchdowns for a come from behind 28-27 win over Galveston Ball. Murray had a huge night with 11 tackles, one pass break-up, three tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and six quarterback hurries.

Next Week: Elkins (4-5) is hosting Texas City.

The Skinny: Magnet had the week off.

Next Week: East Nashville Magnet (4-6) is traveling to Fairview in the first round of the Tennessee 3A playoffs.

The Skinny: Rambo, in a key district game, helped down South Grand Prairie 28-21 with his seven receptions for 119-yards and two touchdowns (45,22).

Next Week: Cedar Hill (7-2) is traveling to Irving.

The Skinny: Rising was still sitting out, due to an undisclosed arm injury, but that didn't stop his Newbury Park teammates from a 35-14 win over Moorpark.

Next Week: Newbury Park (6-3) is traveling to Thousand Oaks.

The Skinny: Boyd's tough season is nearing it's end and that may be a mercy as Boyd was outdistanced considerably by a talented Denton Guyer squad 37-0. On the night Boyd had just 111-yards of offense.

Next Week: Boyd (1-8) is traveling to McKinney.

The Skinny: Against a quality Tyler John Tyler bunch Robison had an uncharacteristically tough night going 15-29 for 209 yards and two touchdowns (49, 12) as well as an interception.

Next Week: Horn (5-4) is hosting Rockwall-Heath.

The Skinny: Sermon had one of the bigger nights of the season with 27 carries for 204-yards and a touchdown in a 23-20 win over Creekview that kept Sprayberry's playoff hopes alive.

Next Week: Sprayberry (6-3) is traveling to Canton Sequoyah.

The Skinny: Sutton had a big day in Lackawanna's 31-21 win over College of Dupage. He had 14 carries for 73-yards and an 18-yard touchdown. He also had two receptions for 23-yards.

Next Week: Lackawanna C.C. (8-0) is hosting College of DuPage on Sat., Oct. 29

The Skinny: Thomas and his Memorial teammates ran up against one of their districts best and fell 51-15 to Tahlequah. But Thomas did his part with 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, and two quarterback hurries.

Next Week: Memorial (3-6) is traveling to Tulsa Hale.

The Skinny: Walker was part of another tough loss for the Sabercats as they were beaten in heart-breaking fashion 22-21 by district rival Mustang though Southmoore had nearly 400-yards of offense.

Next Week: Southmoore (5-4) is hosting Putnam City North on Thu., Nov. 3.

MVP: Kenneth Murray

The Thinking: Along with Trey Sermon, Creed Humphrey, Addison Gumbs, and Charleston Rambo were all worthy of recognition but Murray's team was in a huge need and had a chance to seal a playoff berth. Add in just how many phases that Murray effected working from his more familiar outside linebacker position and you've got a, relatively, easy choice.
