Future Sooners: Fireworks on O

Oklahoma's commitments are all, at least, two weeks into their playoff seasons and though a few saw their seasons come to an end this weekend several more kept marching toward potential state titles. In fact two have set up a third round rematch in the Dallas Metroplex next Friday night.

The Skinny: Lancaster, without Austin, who is now recovering following ACL surgery fell behind 13-0 before outscoring Woodrow Wilson 58-26 for a 58-39 win.

Next Week: Lancaster (11-1) is meeting Wylie East in the third round of the Texas 5A division two playoffs at Allen ISD stadium in Allen.

The Skinny: Barnes, whose season ended with a broken bone in his leg, watched as his teammates came up short against fellow Dallas area powerhouse DeSoto 48-30.

The Skinny: Broiles had one of his biggest nights of the year with a goal line interception and 49-yard return to go along with a 57-yard touchdown reception in John Marshall's 41-0 win over Perkins-Tryon.

The Skinny: In a career full of big games Brooks saved one of his best for one of his last. Against Amarillo Tascosa Brooks managed 320-yards and seven touchdowns (37, 43, 6, 38, 2, 17, 27) on 30-carries in Mansfield's 54-43 win.

Next Week: Mansfield (10-2) is meeting Cedar Hill in the third round of the 6A division two playoffs at Wichita Falls' Memorial stadium.

The Skinny: Brown helped Union hold arch rival Jenks to just over 250-yards of total offense and made a huge contribution on special teams with a 99-yard kickoff return for touchdown to kill Jenks' momentum and seal Union's eventual 45-21 win.

Next Week: Union (10-2) is meeting Norman North in the finals of the Oklahoma 6A-1 playoffs on Friday Dec. 2 at Tulsa University's Chapman stadium.

The Skinny: Calcaterra and his Santa Margarita Catholic squad ran into one of the nation's elite programs, St. John Bosco and came up short, 54-14.

The Skinny: Lamb and his Foster teammates just keep dominating. While downing San Antonio Alamo Heights 55-27 Lamb himself had nine catches for 131-yards and two touchdowns (9, 26). He also had a 63-yard kickoff return.

MVP: Kennedy Brooks

The Thinking: The day has finally come for Brooks, who has had a worthy argument just about every week since his commitment early in the year, to be the week's MVP. This one doesn't need a ton of conversation, he had a massive night not only scoring by the boatload but keeping his offense moving. Although Charleston Rambo also put up a night worthy of consideration.
