As every Oklahoma commitment is now either facing the end of their career or the reality that each game could be their last things get increasingly serious. The Sooners commitments, for the most part, got their playoff runs started this weekend and had a few huge performances to help their teams advance through the playoff rounds.

The Skinny: Lancaster, without Austin, who is now recovering following ACL surgery last week, downed Arlington Seguin 56-14.

Next Week: Lancaster (10-1) is facing Woodrow Wilson in the second round of the Texas 5A division two playoffs at Gopher-Warrior Bowl in Grand Prairie.

Next Week: John Marshall (10-1) is hosting Perkins-Tryon in the second round of the Oklahoma 3A playoffs.

The Skinny: Brooks, who had missed the last two weeks due to apparently mild injuries, wasted no time letting the world know he was going to be fine taking his first touch 53-yards for a touchdown. Playing on three quarters he had 23-carries for 218-yards and five touchdowns (53, 1, 60, 1, 3) as Mansfield downed Fossil Ridge 55-10.

Next Week: Mansfield (9-2) is meeting Amarillo Tascosa in the second round of the 6A division two playoffs at Wichita Falls' Memorial stadium.

The Skinny: Brown helped Union to a win over rival Broken Arrow 40-24 where the Tigers amassed barely 300-yards of total offense.

The Skinny: Calcaterra had a relatively quiet night but that's unlikely to bother him at all as Santa Margarita downed one of Southern California's most talented teams, Gardena Serra 27-14. It was SM's first playoff win since 2012.

Next Week: Catholic (7-4) is meeting St. John Bosco in the second round of the California Southern Section Division one playoffs.

The Skinny: Daley came back for a short while after sitting out several weeks due to a precaution to a MCL injury earlier this season, and had one tackle for loss and two tackles but his team was downed by a talented Cardinal Gibbons squad, 45-7.

Next Week: Suncoast (4-6) ended their season in the first round of the Florida 5A playoffs.

The Skinny: Draper's defense, which included 16 tackles, held Coweta down for much of the night with Collinsville leading 35-13 going into the fourth quarter. Coweta mounted a few things but the lead built by the Cardinlas, including a 59-yard touchdown catch for Draper, was too much as Collinsville came out on top 35-25.

Next Week: Collinsville (9-2) is traveling to Lawton MacArthur in the second round of the Oklahoma 5A playoffs.

The Skinny: Stellar Prep had a bye week in the first round of the playoffs.

Next Week: Stellar Prep (6-3) is meeting St. Patrick-St. Vincent in the second round of the North Coast Section division five championships on Saturday, Nov. 19.

Next Week: Shawnee (5-6) ended their season in the first round of the Oklahoma 5A playoffs.

The Skinny: Lamb and his Foster teammates got the playoffs started in staggering fashion - literally. Foster put up 51-points in the first quarter on the way to downing San Antonio Brackenridge 72-12. In that first quarter Lamb had two catches for 83-yards and two touchdowns (47, 36) and a 38-yard punt return for touchdown.

Next Week: Foster (11-0) is hosting San Antonio Alamo Heights in the second round of the Texas 5A division one playoffs.

The Skinny: Canyon ended their season at 2-8.

Next Week: N/A.

The Skinny: Murray and his Elkins teammates got a first round win over Houston Madison 28-20. Murray had 12 tackles, four for loss, and one sack.

Next Week: Elkins (6-5) is meeting Port Arthur Memorial in the second round of the Texas 5A division one playoffs at Turner stadium in Humble, Texas.

The Skinny: East Nashville Magnet (4-7) ended their season in the first round of the Tennessee 3A playoffs.

Next Week: N/A.

The Skinny: Rambo has been on a roll for a few weeks now and kept it going in Cedar Hill's 52-17 trouncing of Waco Midway. On the night Rambo had four receptions for 98-yards and three touchdowns (6, 62, 17).

Next Week: Cedar Hill (9-2) is meeting Denton Guyer in the second round of the Texas 6A division two playoffs at Mansfield's Vernon Newsome stadium on Sat., Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.

The Skinny: Rising was still sitting out, due to a reported separated shoulder, and his Newbury Park teammates couldn't overcome a game bunch from Huntington Beach Edison.

Next Week: Newbury Park (7-4) ended their season in the first round of the Southern Section division three playoffs.

The Skinny: Boyd ended their season at 2-8.

Next Week: N/A.

The Skinny: Robison, facing a very talented team from The Woodlands got off to a hot start going 3-3 for 74-yards and a 53-yard touchdown along with a 20-yard run. Unfortunately at the end of that run he landed hard on his right shoulder and was knocked out for the game.

Next Week: Horn (6-5) ended their season in the first round of the Texas 6A division one playoffs.

The Skinny: Sprayberry ended their season at 6-4.

Next Week: N/A.

The Skinny: Sutton had his biggest game of the year and saved it for one of the best teams on Lackawanna's schedule, Georgia Military College. On the way to a 47-28 win over GMC Sutton had 24-carries for 249-yards and a pair of touchdowns (55, 48).

Next Week: Lackawanna C.C. (10-0) is TBD.

The Skinny: Memorial ended their season at 4-6.

Next Week: N/A.

The Skinny: Walker and the Sabercats offense more than did their part putting up over 600-yards of offense against an always revered Jenks defense. However that didn't change the defensive issues that saw Southmoore fall 56-42.

Next Week: Southmoore (6-5) ended their season in the first round of the Oklahoma 6A division one playoffs.

MVP: Marcelias Sutton

The Thinking: Sutton, against top flight junior college competition put up some absolutely massive numbers. It's tough to take this one away from Kennedy Brooks, Levi Draper, and Kenneth Murray but the reality is that Sutton was playing against some top flight talent and dominated.
